This is a long document, so here are the highlights:
- Camp Sandy Cove will not sell or rent any of your personal information to anyone
- Camp Sandy Cove will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless required by law
- All private areas of the Camp Sandy Cove website are password protected, and intended only for users affiliated with a camp (e.g., camper, parent, employee, alumni)
- Upon your request, Camp Sandy Cove will delete or change any personal information we have about you
This privacy policy governs Camp Sandy Cove's treatment of "personal information" that Camp Sandy Cove collects when you are anywhere on the Camp Sandy Cove website. This privacy policy may not apply to websites outside of Camp Sandy Cove's control that you may visit through your use of Camp Sandy Cove. Because Camp Sandy Cove does not control these sites, Camp Sandy Cove cannot be responsible for their information practices. Please check the Privacy Policy of any website before offering any of your personal information.
Personal Information:
"Personal information" is information that personally identifies you. Camp Sandy Cove will ask for your full name and email address during the registration process. Camp Sandy Cove will also ask for your mailing address, phone number and credit card information if you wish to register on-line for camp sessions, as well as in connection with products and services that Camp Sandy Cove offers.
Camp Sandy Cove asks for personal information when you: (a) register on Camp Sandy Cove, (b) enter sweepstakes and contests sponsored by us, (c) send email messages, submit forms or send other information or content to Camp Sandy Cove, or (d) purchase goods and services through Camp Sandy Cove. If at any other point Camp Sandy Cove seeks to collect personal information from you, we will make it clear to you that we are collecting such information, and our reasons for doing so.
Camp Sandy Cove asks for personal information, among other things, (a) for billing purposes; (b) to send newsletters or updates regarding Camp Sandy Cove, (c) to provide you with the products, services or information you have requested; (d) to investigate activity that may violate our Terms of Use Agreement; and (e) to develop and market products and services that may be of interest to you.
Camp Sandy Cove may share non-personal, aggregate, or summary information regarding our users. This kind of information will not identify you individually. Camp Sandy Cove may be forced by law to disclose information in response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes. We may disclose your personal information as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in order to comply with the law or to enforce our Terms of Use Agreement. Additionally, despite Camp Sandy Cove's best efforts, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.
Parental Consent:
Camp Sandy Cove requires parental consent prior to collecting information from or regarding children under age 13. These areas are password protected in order to assure the safety of children under age 13. Consent can be given by the parent either through the website, or by calling 1-800-234-2683 to obtain the password.
Disclosures to Third Parties:
Camp Sandy Cove does not disclose any personal information to third parties unless required by law.
Users Rights and Parental Rights:
Users and parents of users under 13 may, at any time, change, add or delete any personal information you supplied to us or refuse to permit any further collection of personal information by emailing CampInfo@sandycove.org. If you delete information, it will not be used by us or disclosed in the future. If you have opted to receive email messages from us about products and services that may be of interest to you, you may, at any time, change your mind by forwarding the email you received to CampInfo@sandycove.org.
Security:
We use industry-standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information, such as firewalls and secure socket layers where appropriate. Your account is password protected to ensure that only you (and your parent if you are under 13) have access to your personal information.
All campers who wish to have accounts with Camp Sandy Cove must be registered to ensure that Camp Sandy Cove has verifiable parental consent. Parents may revoke their consent at any time by emailing CampInfo@sandycove.org.
Camp Sandy Cove will not condition a child's participation in an activity on the child's disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in such activity.
Message Boards and Other Private Areas:
Message boards, photo galleries and other private areas of the Camp Sandy Cove website are intended for members of that camp community only. For your security, these areas require passwords that are provided to people affiliated with that camp (e.g., campers, parents, employees, alumni).
To promote a safe and friendly environment online, Camp Sandy Cove may monitor Message Boards and other private areas, use filtering software, and remove any material it finds inappropriate or objectionable. In addition, Camp Sandy Cove may investigate any complaints about users who are improperly using Camp Sandy Cove's services to harass or annoy others or gather personal information. If you believe someone has gained improper access to any private areas, or you encounter any other problems with Camp Sandy Cove users, please notify Camp Sandy Cove at CampInfo@sandycove.org.
You should not disclose personal information on a Message Board. If you voluntarily disclose personal information, that information can be collected and used by others
